Sweet Sugarplum Poinsettias


I’m back again participating in another card challenge.  This one is a color challenge, which I love.  It’s the Global Design Project #061 and these are the colors:


I watched a video by Kristina Werner recently and thought how gorgeous some Sweet Sugarplum poinsettias would be so I pulled out my inks, watercolor paper and Aquapainter and went to town.  Here’s my card:


I used the poinsettia image from Reason for the Season heat embossed with White Embossing Powder and the greeting is from Christmas Pines.  For the background wash I used Smoky Slate diluted down quite a bit.  To finish off my card, I used some silver sequins and some pearls.

I just love looking at this card.  It’s so soft and pretty and I think even though there is no such thing as purplish poinsettias it’s very festive!
